About the RBIDA

The Republic Business and Industrial Development Association (RBIDA) is a not-for-profit (501C-3) organization and is the economic development subsidiary/extension of the City of Republic. The organization provides an additional revenue source for the city’s economic development program.

Past and present marketing efforts have been directed to industry related trade shows, collaborating with the Springfield Contractors’ Association, the Home Builders’ Association of Greater Springfield, and membership in appropriate economic development organizations including regional organizations such as the Springfield Regional Economic Development Council, the Missouri Partnership, the Missouri Department of Economic Development as well as other professional organizations.

With the development of RBIDA, the City of Republic will capitalize on the area’s strengths, creating prosperity with a focus on smart, managed growth that fits the community. Coordination of strategies and resources is a key element of the plan’s effectiveness, with each of the implementing organizations supplying their unique competencies and value in a complimentary fashion.

The City of Republic’s Economic Development Team consists of a variety of local and regional leaders that work together and cooperate in order to generate economic progress in the City of Republic.
