City of Republic Celebrating Job Creation Milestone
Republic, Missouri will be celebrating the growth in their community at an event sponsored by the Republic Business Industrial Development Association on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Republic Ford-Lincoln Dealership at 1740 US Highway 60 East Republic, MO.
Gail Noggle, Director of Planning and Development for the City of Republic, stated "We are proud to announce our community has created over 1,000 new jobs over the past 5 years and have had an 85 percent population growth since the year 2000 along with substantial growth in median household income and labor force. These are accomplishments worth celebrating."
Wilbert Bringing New Manufacturing Facility to Republic, Missouri
Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. (WFSI) will be bringing a new facility to Republic, Missouri as the company consolidates three existing locations, gaining significant production capacity and efficiencies.
WFSI operates various organizations, most serving the funeral industry, including burial vault manufacturing and cemetery services, caskets, and cremation products and services. In addition, its SI Precast Concrete division serves other industries with precast concrete products such as storm shelters, retaining walls, and septic tanks.
Until a recent merger, the burial vault and funeral services firm operated as SI Funeral Services, with over seventy locations throughout twelve states. Now operating as Wilbert Funeral Services, two manufacturing locations in Ozark, MO and Springfield, MO, and one warehouse in Sarcoxie, MO are consolidating in Republic. The Wilbert Group's Signet Supply, a casket distribution business, will use the Republic facility as a regional distribution center. A state-of-the-art crematory with a family gathering room will also be built on the property.
Wilbert will bring nearly thirty jobs to Republic's Brookline Business Park, where it will build the new 50,000 square foot production, storage and office facility, according to Joe Suhor, Chairman of the Board of Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. The facility is being built by Murray's Construction, Seymour, MO and designed by A&E firm Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative, Springfield, MO. The move to Republic is expected in January 2015.
City officials said Wilbert Funeral Services' new facility would be located in the city's enhanced enterprise zone, entitling it to a fifty-percent property tax abatement over ten years, provided it meets criteria such as job creation, offering health insurance to employees and making a minimum $100,000 capital investment. Mayor Brian Buckner states that at the business park, Wilbert Funeral Services will join the likes of Red Monkey, Waston Metal Masters Inc., Ashley Furniture Home Store, and RepMo Warehouse.
Red Monkey Foods Announces New Facility in Republic MO for Spice and Seasoning Manufacturing
Red Monkey Foods will invest $2.9 million in a new manufacturing facility in Republic, moveing 110 new jobs to the area, with an additional 40 jobs expected over the next couple of years.
Red Monkey Foods is a leading producer of premium spice and seasoning products. The company markets both private label and branded products under the trade name "Good Flavors" to some of the nation's most well-known grocery stores and supermarkets.
Republic's Mayor Brian Buckner stated, "We welcome our newest corporate neighbor to our community and are proud to be the home to such a quality operation."
Designed by Richard Werner Architect Firm, and built by Rich Kramer Construction, the 60,000 sq. ft. facility will include 54.000 sq. ft. of warehouse and production area, and 6,000 sq. ft. of office space. The facility is expected to be ready for production in January 2015.
"We are excited about our new location in Republic, and resources it will be able to provide as we continue our aggressive growth plan," said Jeff Brinkhoff, Founder and President of Red Monkey Foods. Red Monkey Foods, established in 2003, plans to increase revenue through its current spice bottling, while entering in the private label services of pouched meal solutions.
Leading Custom Tank Manufacturing Company Expands to Republic, Missouri
Watson Metal Masters to invest $4.8 million in new manufacturing facility in Republic, expected to create 77 new jobs.
A new $4.8 million manufacturing plan being built in Republic, Mo. by Watson Metal Masters is expected to create 77 new jobs. The company will break ground on the state-of-the-art facility, which is slated to open for production in mid-2014.
Watson Metal Masters designs and fabricates custom stainless steel storage tanks and vessels for a variety of industries, including food and beverage, health and beauty, and pharmaceuticals. The organization was originally founded in 1985 to manufacture small tanks for local companies, and has since expanded both its product line as well as its client base. The company now serves an international market and manufactures tanks in-house up to 50,000 gallons, and on-site up to 500,000 gallons. The company's new facility being built by Rick Kramer Construction in Republic will include 63,000 square-feet of manufacturing space as well as an additional 4,450 square-feet of corporate offices. The larger campus - which will accommodate the company's 43 existing employees being relocated to Republic, as well as 77 new employees - will allow Watson Metal Masters to accommodate increased production levels and better serve its rapidly growing client base.

To assist Watson Metal Masters with its expansion, the Department of Economic Development and the City of Republic have authorized a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investement criteria.
Covington Retail Partners to Build Distribution Center in Republic, Missouri
Covington Retail Partners of Springfield, owner of Ashley Furniture Homestores, will build a new distribution center in Republic. The company’s expansion project will include a capital investment of $1,725,000 and could create 32 new jobs.
Covington Retail Partners leases a 20,000-square-foot warehouse in Springfield, but has outgrown the facility. The new distribution and warehouse center in Republic will also house corporate offices and allow for further company growth. The new facility will supply Ashley Furniture Homestores in Joplin and Springfield as well as future stores in Missouri yet to be named.
Crossbreed Holsters Relocates Headquarters to New Plant in Republic, Missouri
Crossbreed Holsters is building a new 20,000 square foot plant in Republic, Mo. The holster manufacturer will also relocate their administrative headquarters to the new facility. The new construction will also facilitate various educational offerings and trainings for firearms carrying and safety. Located in the James River Business Center, the new building represents a $1.5 million investment for the rapidly growing business.
